Lukas Burkhard previously published under the name Lukas Meyer.
Lukas Burkhard is a researcher in the Department of Perception and Cognition at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, German Aerospace Center (DLR), since 2018. Lukas received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He primarily works in the field of planetary robotics with a focus on two general aspects of mobile rover manipulation: perception for robust manipulation and robust navigation algorithms. His work furthermore includes the testing of robotic solutions during planetary analogue campaigns on a volcano or in the desert.
